Deadlock patch notes: 4 June 2026
Valve's “Minor Update - 06-04-2026”: 14 changes. The notes in full below, with each hero's win rate in the week before and after.
What it did
Win and pick rates in the 7 days before the patch (28 May to 4 Jun, 367.9k matches) against the 7 days after (to 11 Jun, 354.4k matches). Dates are in UTC. The line runs from 40% to 60%, with 50% marked.
No hero in these notes had enough matches either side to compare.

The notes
- Urn mechanics have been reworked.
Primary details:
- Delivering the urn now starts a king of the hill style capture point, rather than using melee to flip the urn back and forth.
- Both teams can progress at the same time, but the urn will only be fully claimed once there is only one team in the circle.
- The Urn runner now gets their normal 35% bonus bounty and stats immediately on initial deposit (rather than on deposit conclusion only if your team won it)
Other Details:
- Urn overall bounty reduced by 20% (unreduced for trailing team)
- Progress radius is 20m
- Progress rate is fixed regardless the number of allies in the area
- Progress duration for favored/neutral/unfavored is 6/12/18s
- If Urn has been in progress for over 75s, it will give up and throw all the souls as orbs into the sky (they will float for a long time)
- Increased time allowed to run the urn before taking damage by 10s
- Trailing team sprint speed bonus from +4m to +5m
- Urn comeback resistance now also grants +35% Debuff Resistance ontop of the 35% Bullet and Spirit Resistance
- Urn comeback resistance aura reduced from 60m to match the 20m progress radius
- Drop off location is above the bridges on the side lanes, rather than below.
How the numbers are worked out
The notes are Valve's, from their post on Steam, with each hero and item linked where its name leads a line. The numbers compare every recorded match in the 7 days before Valve posted the patch with the 7 days after, from the community deadlock-api. If Valve posted it days after the date in its title, the weeks run from the start of that date instead. A hero needs 500 matches in each window to be compared.
A change in win rate after a patch isn't all down to the patch: players try new things, other heroes change too, and a week is a short time. Heroes that moved without being named are listed so you can see how much of that there was.
