Draft room
Plan the draft, together or alone
Put both teams' heroes and the bans on one board, in any order, and see after every change who's ahead, what to pick next and how each lane should go. Start a room and send the code to your party to plan on one board, live.
Starts from this board and gives you a room code to send to your party.

Choose who you're picking for, then a hero; it goes in the chosen slot, or the first empty one. To move a hero to another lane, choose its slot, then the slot to swap with. ·
Choosing a hero: amber picks.
Who's ahead on the heroes
The chance each team wins from the heroes alone, worked out again after every pick: each hero's strength, every pairing across the teams and every pairing within one.

A toss-up
0 of 6 on Amber and 0 of 6 on Sapphire picked. Empty slots count as average heroes, so the chance sits nearer 50% than a full draft's would.
What moves it
Nothing yet: pick a hero.
Points of win chance a piece adds, against the chance without it.
How sure: heroes say little. On 446,255 games it had never seen, this model picked the winner 59.7% of the time, where a coin flip gets 50%. Sides it gave 50–52% won 51.2%. It is fitted on all ranks and leaves out the map side. How it works
Best next picks
Every free hero, ranked by what it adds to its team's chance. The reasons are the pieces of that number; lane fit and bans are shown beside it and don't change the order.

Bans
A ban takes a hero out for both teams. A match has three bans in ranked.

Amber banning to hurt Sapphire
VictorSapphire gain +7.6 points picking it. Without it they take Baba (+5.9): 1.8 points less.
Rat KingSapphire gain +7.3 points picking it. Without it they take Baba (+5.9): 1.4 points less.
GravesSapphire gain +7.0 points picking it. Without it they take Baba (+5.9): 1.2 points less.
Sapphire banning to hurt Amber
VictorAmber gain +7.6 points picking it. Without it they take Baba (+5.9): 1.8 points less.
Rat KingAmber gain +7.3 points picking it. Without it they take Baba (+5.9): 1.4 points less.
GravesAmber gain +7.0 points picking it. Without it they take Baba (+5.9): 1.2 points less.
A ban only matters by the gap to the pick they'd take instead, so the points beside each are that gap. Heroes are the ones they'd most want for their open slots.
Lanes at 9:00
Each lane is two heroes a side. For each, the souls the Amber Hand's pair is expected to lead by at 9:00 (both players added together), and the chance it is ahead then. Fill the slots in lane order, or ask for a split.

How sure: lanes are mostly decided by the players. On 1,337,238 lanes it had never seen, the model picked the lane's leader 54.9% of the time (55.4% with the map side, which this page uses), where a coin flip gets 50%. The numbers include the Amber Hand's edge in each lane: York −231, Broadway −48, Greenwich +83. How lanes are predicted
Solo draft
On your own, with nobody to draft with? Say who you're playing. The other team's open slots are filled with what is commonly picked, many times over, and every pick is judged on average against those teams.

Picks are drawn at random, each in proportion to how often it is played (all ranks), without anyone picked or banned. Real lobbies pick in step with each other, which this doesn't know.

How the draft room works
Deadlock has no pick-by-pick draft: players choose heroes in the lobby, with a few bans and a short window to swap. So this is a planning board for a party (or two): put the heroes you mean to play on each side, in any order, ban what you like, and see what it does.
- Who's ahead: the pre-game win-chance model on the heroes picked so far. It is fitted on a million recent matches; on 446,255 it had never seen it picked the winner 59.7% of the time. Heroes say little about who wins, and the page says so.
- Best next picks: every free hero ranked by how much it would add to its team's chance, with the pieces of that number as reasons. Lane fit and ban rates sit beside them.
- Bans: how often each hero is banned at your rank (a match has three bans in ranked, two otherwise, and they take a hero out for both teams), and which bans would cost the other team most.
- Lanes: slots go in pairs, York, Broadway and Greenwich. The lane model predicts each lane's souls lead at 9:00 from the four heroes. Lanes are mostly decided by the players, so expect small edges.
- Shared rooms: start a room and send the room code to your party; everyone sees the same board change live. The read-only link is for people who should only watch. A room is deleted two weeks after its last change.
- Other tools: a draft is one line of text, and a room can be read as JSON. The format and the endpoint are on how drafts and lanes work.
