Rules of this board

Size
Valve's top 1,000 in Europe.
Window
The season running now. Valve updates its ladder once an hour and we copy it every hour. Moves compare with a copy from about a day ago.
Who is counted
Valve decides who is on its ladder. We add nobody and take nobody off, except people who asked us to.
Names
Valve lists names, not accounts. We link a name to a profile only when one account clearly owns it: it is ranked Archon or higher, it has played in the last 30 days, and it ranks at least three steps (Ascendant 4 over Ascendant 1, say) above every other account that has used the name. Names used by more than 10 accounts are not matched. Anything we are not sure of is shown as plain text, without a link or a rank. Ranks come from the linked profile, not from Valve's ladder.
Taking yourself off
Email hello@chudlock.com and we will take you off every board on the site. On Valve's ladder we also leave out any name your account has used, so a shared name may go with it.

How Valve's ladder works here

Deadlock has a ranked ladder for each of five regions: Europe, North America, South America, Asia and Oceania. Valve lists the top 1,000 players in each region, and also keeps a ladder for each hero. This page copies all of them every hour and shows them in one place.

Moves since yesterday

We keep earlier copies of every board. The Move column compares today's place with a copy from about a day ago, so you can see who is climbing. A player who was not on the board then is marked new. Moves start once a board is at least half a day old.

Names and profiles

Valve's ladder shows names, not accounts, and many people share a name. We link a name to a profile only when one account clearly owns it. Everything else stays as plain text. The rules box under the board says how we decide.

Where you are

Sign in with Steam and we list every ladder you are on, when we are sure which account is yours. Linked rows are marked with your name and a You tag.

Seasons

When a ranked season interval ends, we keep the last copy of every board. Past seasons then appear in the Season list above the board.

Where the numbers come from

The ladders are Valve's, passed on by the community deadlock-api. Ranks come from deadlock-api's rank lookup for the linked profile. For the hero boards with games, wins and win rate for everyone, see the hero leaderboards. For players who stick to one hero, see the one-trick boards.
